Tim is a current member of the coaching team at the Stratford Festival, serving the work of the company as a text coach on the Festival’s Shakespeare productions. When not at the Festival, he teaches Shakespeare throughout southern Ontario, and at the National Theatre School in Montréal. He has also taught for the Birmingham Conservatory, and for the Universities of Windsor, Western, Waterloo, Guelph, Brock and Toronto Metropolitan.
Tim has performed on stages in Canada, England, and Europe. Among his favourite acting credits from his time in the UK are Twelfth Night (Rose Theatre), Flight (New Diorama) and The Bowl at the Young Vic Theatre. He also toured Austria for six months in Around the World in 80 Days for Vienna’s English Theatre. As an actor in Canada, his stage credits include Chariots of Fire (Grand Theatre), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Shakespeare in the Ruff), Life Is a Dream (Canadian Stage) and Crookback, his five-star reviewed solo adaptation of Shakespeare’s Richard III. Tim is a graduate of both the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in England, and the former Ryerson Theatre School under Perry Schneiderman. He was the apprentice of text coach and master teacher Ian Watson for eight years, and is endlessly grateful for that relationship, and for the many other mentors and artists who have shaped his coaching journey.
